2024 Sprint & 100M Championship Weekend

This October, join Spartan in Hvar, Croatia, for a weekend of OCR, cultural immersion and a chance to etch yourself in Spartan history at the first ever Championship for the Sprint 5K & 100M distances.

Embark on a journey through various swims, challenging floating obstacles, and a climb to the iconic fortress. The race includes technical running on rocky shores, stunning beaches, and 30% city running, integrating the event seamlessly into the small city offering a unique immersive experience in Hvar's beauty.

Sprint 5K WC (Saturday, Oct 12)
100M WC (Friday-Saturday, Oct 11-12)

Besides the WC heats, there will be Super & Kids races on Sunday.

Sprint World Championships

Compete at the first ever Spartan Sprint World Championship event. 5K, 20 Obstacles, and a place in Spartan history is on the line. The Sprint races take place Saturday, Oct 12th:

Afternoon:

Open Heats

Qualifications:
Pro Champs Heat: Finish Top 50 Overall in the Pro Championship Heat of a Regional Champs Race.

Age Group Champs Heat: Qualification is not required.

What’s on the line:
Pro Championship athletes will compete for a place on the podium and their share of the championship prize purse (1st $10,000 / 2nd $5,000 / 3rd $2,500). Age Group Championship athletes will compete for their place on the Age Group podium.

100M World Champs

Be among the first Spartan’s to attempt our fastest and most intense OCR format yet – the 100M World Championship.

100M, 12 Obstacles:
The 100M World Championship is all about speed, strength and agility. With only a few meters between each obstacles, this event will be all action. Finals will entail a merciless head-to-head knockout format. Expect rivalry, suspense, falls, unseen athletic feats and a one-of-a-kind show to crown the best obstacle specialist in the world.

The 100M course will start in the historical city square of Hvar, facing the Adriatic Sea, culminating with the classic Spartan race finish line on the mediterranean pier.

Qualifications:

Top 5 Finish at a 2024 National Series Sprint (Pro Championship Heat)
Top 5 Overall Finish at a 2023 Elite Series (PANAM, EU, PH)

What’s on the line:
100M athletes will compete for a place on the podium and their share of the championship prize purse (1st $20,000 / 2nd $10,000 / 3rd $2,500).

Transportation:
The best option for flying to Croatia is the Split Airport (SPU) - 42km from Hvar.

From the airport, take the Split -> Hvar ferry. The ferry has 10 journeys per day, approx €6 -€20 per foot passenger, duration ranging between 50 minutes - 2 hours 25 minutes. Car transport is available.
